To qualify for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships, riders must be 19 (born before 01.01.2006) or older. Age-based categories reflect the cyclist’s age as of 31 December 2024. If a cyclist ages into a new category by the next year, they’ll be adjusted accordingly in the UCI Gran Fondo World Series.
For UCI Gran Fondo World Championships qualification:
Only cyclists without UCI points can be classified. Those with UCI points can participate, but won’t be classified. Invited professionals can join, but also won’t be classified.
Entry fees are not refundable unless we receive a medical certificate from you until 14 days prior to the event day. In this case we will retain a handling fee of 10€.
It is possible to transfer your registration until 14 days prior to the event day on these conditions:
Registration transfers can only be done at our Trouble Desk at the Sportshall, Place des Villes Jumelées, Mondorf-Les-Bains on Friday the day before the event from 15:00 to 18:45 or on the day of the event from 7:00 to 8:30.
While the Qualification Ride of the Schleck Gran Fondo is designed with the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in mind, we understand the passion and enthusiasm that drives every cyclist. Technically, this ride is intended for those aiming to qualify by age category. However, registration is open to all.
For participants wishing to set off alongside friends from different age categories or those preferring a more relaxed commencement, the Leisure Ride is ideal. While it follows the same course as the Gran Fondo or Medio Fondo, this option allows you to start after the riders aiming for qualification.
Grab at least 7 of your best cycling buddies, friends or work colleagues and form a team to compete on the Medio Fondo or Gran Fondo course. The results will be determined by the sum of the 5 fastest team times.Â
As the action unfolds, you won’t have to wait for updates! You can catch all the live results exclusively on our partner’s website, Chronorace.
