By paying the registration fee, all participants :

• acknowledge and accept the rules and regulations in its entirety
• declares being in good physical condition and that there are no contraindications to participate in this cycling competition
• accept the usual and frequent competitive cycling risks, such as individual or collective falls. 

Entry fees are not refundable unless we receive a medical certificate from you by May 21st, 2023. In this case we will retain a handling fee of 10€. If you want to transfer your bib number to another person you can do this until May 21st, 2023. 

Here you can make amendments to your registration or – if you can’t participate yourself – invite a friend to take over your registration. Due to organizational reasons, transfers and cancellations are not possible after May 21st, 2023.

If you cannot take part in the Schleck Gran Fondo 2023 for medical reasons, you have the possibility to present an official medical certificate until May 21st, 2023. In this case, the participant can be deregistered form the Schleck Gran Fondo for a processing fee of 10€.

Transfers are only possible on the day of the event if they concern two persons starting in the same age category. Participants who want to change distance can do so on spot, but please note that it’s not possible anymore to switch your registration from Medio Fondo to Gran Fondo anymore.

During the registration process you will have to pay a deposit of 15€ for the Chip. After the race, you will get a refund of 10€ on the card you paid your registration with , if you return the Chip before 6.30 p.m. on June 3rd, 2023 @ the registration office.

Only those participants aged 19 (born before 01.01.2005) and above can qualify for the UCI World Gran Fondo Championships which will take place from 4 to 7 August 2023 in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. The different categories are defined in accordance to the cyclist’s age dated on 31 December 2023. If the qualified cyclist for a particular age category passes into a next age category in the following year, they will automatically move into the correct age category at the UCI Gran Fondo World Series.

Attention, riders who race for the qualification of the UCI GRAN FONDO World Championships have to register in the following categories:

• The men in categories M 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 have to ride the long course of 160 km to qualify for the finals of the Gran Fondo World Series.
• All women categories, as well as men categories M 8, 9, 10 have to ride the short course of 90 km to qualify for the finals.

All men and women cyclists who have not accumulated any UCI points will be eligible to be classified. Men and women cyclists who have UCI points may participate but will not be classified. Active professionals are admitted upon invitation but will not be classified.

If you choose not to race for the qualification for the World Championships, then you can register for the distance of your choice!

All participant, riding for the qualification or not, are allowed to start in their respective age category start boxes.

For those who would like to take the start with friends of other age categories or who simply want to start a little bit slower can register for the leisure ride.

The Schleck Gran Fondo is a mass cycle event open to all participants, license-holders or not, over the age of 18. Minors may participate on the shorter course upon presentation of parental consent at the packet pickup.

Participants of the Schleck Gran Fondo must be aware of all the Rules & Regulations which include timekeeping and rankings, time limits, equipment allowed, safety, medical and personal assistance and other important topics.

SUSTAINABILITY

As participant of the Schleck Gran Fondo, you commit to respect the environnement and the natural areas visited. It is strictly forbidden to leave any type of waste on the course.

KEY POINTS

For 2023, we’ll be holding a prized competition for teams. Grab at least 7 of your best cycling buddies, friends or work colleagues and form a team to compete on the Medio Fondo or Gran Fondo. The results will be determined by the sum of the 5 fastest team times.

If you don’t pick up your packet personally, you have to give a copy of your ID-card, the liability form signed by yourself and the confirmation email to your representative!

By signing up and paying the registration fee, all participant:

•         acknowledges and accepts these rules and regulations in its entirety
  
•         declares being in good physical condition and there are no contraindications to participate in this cycling competition
  
•         accepts the usual and frequent competitive cycling risks, such as individual or collective falls
  
•         declares to respect at any time the Luxembourgish Traffic Regulations!
  

The contract becomes binding with an explicit click stating that the participant has read and accepted the general terms and conditions as well as the privacy policy. A participant shall be deemed eligible to start once the organizer has received the entry fee and the participant has received the official confirmation of entry.
