To qualify for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships, riders must be 19 (born before 01.01.2007) or older. Age-based categories reflect the cyclist’s age as of 31 December 2025. If a cyclist ages into a new category by the next year, they’ll be adjusted accordingly in the UCI Gran Fondo World Series.
For UCI Gran Fondo World Championships qualification:
Only cyclists without UCI points can be classified. Those with UCI points can participate, but won’t be classified.
Women of all age groups and Men aged 65-75+ can participate in the Gran Fondo course, starting in their age-specific box. But, qualification for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships isn't available.
Male riders aged 19-64 can opt for the Medio Fondo, start in their age-specific box, but won't qualify for the World Championships.

Entry fees are not refundable unless we receive a medical certificate from you until 14 days prior to the event day. In this case we will retain a handling fee of 10€.
Changes or transfers are now only possible during the race weekend and under specific conditions listed on our website.
However, due to limited spots available per age category, transfers to the age category 19-34 are no longer feasible.

Yes, it is possible to change the distance after registration. Click on the button below and follow instructions on Chronorace.
Participants who want to change the distance can also do so on-the-spot, on the day of the event. However, there will be an administrative fee for this change, which must be paid immediately. Additionally, if the new distance selected costs more than the original one, participants will be required to pay the extra amount.
During the registration process, you will now be required to pay a deposit of 30€ for the chip. However, if you return the chip before 18:30 on the day of the event, 25€ will be refunded to you within the week.

Returning the chip via post mail will not be possible.
While the Qualification Ride of the Schleck Gran Fondo is designed with the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in mind, we understand the passion and enthusiasm that drives every cyclist. Technically, this ride is intended for those aiming to qualify by age category. However, registration is open to all.
The official starting list for the event will be made available once the registration period is closed. We appreciate your patience and look forward to sharing this important information with you as soon as possible.

For participants wishing to set off alongside friends from different age categories or those preferring a more relaxed commencement, the Leisure Ride is ideal. While it follows the same course as the Gran Fondo or Medio Fondo, this option allows you to start after the riders aiming for qualification.
Grab at least 7 of your best cycling buddies, friends or work colleagues and form a team to compete on the Medio Fondo or Gran Fondo course. The results will be determined by the sum of the 5 fastest team times.
